Low-temperature DLC film deposition device (multi-layer ta-C, hydrogen-free)

It is now possible to achieve low-temperature DLC (Diamond-like carbon) thin film hard coatings with improved adhesion compared to conventional ta-C!

High-density and stable high-quality film formation is possible! By performing DLC film formation that is highly hard (wear-resistant), has a low friction coefficient (wear-resistant), is corrosion-resistant, adhesion-resistant, and smooth, we contribute to the longevity of mold parts for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, resin molding molds, sliding components, and tools. This is not only optimal for reducing customer costs but also for reducing maintenance work hours, such as cleaning tasks, and for business improvement. It is also possible to achieve "high adhesion, smooth & hard low-temperature DLC film formation" for three-dimensional ultra-precise complex-shaped molds and machine parts. In addition to improving hardness and wear resistance, we also accept "peeling treatment and re-coating," contributing to the reduction of product life cycle costs and material waste, thus reducing environmental impact. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ DLC stands for Diamond-Like Carbon, which refers to a hard thin-film coating with good sliding properties that has intermediate characteristics between diamond and graphite. By adjusting the ratio of SP3 (diamond bonds) to SP2 (graphite bonds) and the ratio of H (hydrogen) contained within, as well as by applying multilayer coatings, it is possible to create thin films with various physical properties and characteristics (industrial value).

DLC coating "Slick Coat"

This is a diamond-like carbon (DLC) film synthesized using a gas-phase synthesis method utilizing plasma.

The DLC coating "Slick Coat" is a carbon-based thin film (DLC - Diamond Like Carbon) synthesized using a plasma-assisted vapor deposition method. The structure of the DLC film is said to be a smooth amorphous structure that typically contains a small amount of hydrogen and possesses diamond bonds and graphite bonds. Additionally, DLC: - Has properties that vary depending on the manufacturing method. - The presence or absence of hydrogen in the film affects the hardness and adhesion of the film. - It is necessary to select the type of film based on the conditions of use. ⇒ Please feel free to consult us. 【Features】 ○ Processing (generation) temperature is below 200°C ○ High hardness (2500–3500 HV) and excellent wear resistance (Slick Coat-H) ○ Coating with low friction coefficient and lubricating properties (Slick Coat-H) ○ The processing film thickness is 1 μm, making it suitable for high-precision products (Slick Coat-H) *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

DLC coating

Improved adhesion, lubricity, and oil retention through combined processing with WPC treatment.

DLC is a thin film (a few microns) that possesses various functions such as low wear resistance (high hardness), low wear coefficient, anti-adhesion properties, infrared transparency, design versatility, biocompatibility, gas barrier properties, and corrosion resistance, making it a focus in many fields. However, on the other hand, DLC was considered to have low adhesion to aluminum and was not very compatible. Our company has begun developing technology to apply DLC for reducing friction in aluminum parts used in engine pistons. Through joint development with the Kanagawa Prefectural Industrial Technology Center, we have successfully completed a high-adhesion DLC that is compatible with aluminum.

DLC coating

Coatings that support manufacturing! They are used in a wide range of industries.

"DLC" stands for "Diamond Like Carbon," which is a surface treatment technology that involves coating a thin film primarily composed of carbon onto surfaces such as metals. It is widely adopted across various industries as a coating that supports manufacturing, including cutting tools, molds, automotive parts, machine components, and medical parts. DLC, which features a mixture of structures like diamond and graphite, is harder and has better lubricity compared to common ceramic coatings such as titanium-based or chromium-based coatings, and it excels in properties like "wear resistance" and "adhesion resistance to non-ferrous metals." 【Features】 ■ Film thickness of a few microns ■ Available in a range of hardness (1000–7000 Hv) ■ Excellent lubricity *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

DLC(Diamond Like Carbon)

Obtained FDA certification! Can be safely used with food machinery. *Also compliant with PFAS regulations.

"DLC" is a general term for amorphous carbon films that have a rich variety of characteristics. Generally, due to their hardness and excellent lubricity and anti-adhesion properties, they are applied in tools for non-ferrous metal processing and various machine parts. They are used in sensors because they can transmit infrared light, and in electronic components for insulation purposes since they generally do not conduct electricity. Recently, chemical applications have gained attention, such as preventing oxidation in beverages by applying them to the inner diameter of PET bottles, and their excellent biocompatibility has led to applications in various medical devices. Their chemical stability has also improved corrosion resistance, leading to a wide range of applications. 【Features】 ■ Biocompatibility (safety) ■ Lubricity ■ High hardness ■ Shape protection *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.
